The falling leaves continue. The Armenian nation and the Armenian Democratic Liberal Party have suffered a great loss. Prose writer and intellectual Aram Sepetjian is no more. We have lost a modest Armenian intellectual who, through his prolific pen and activity, was the translator of the sentiments of the Armenian people longing for their homeland.
Members of the Armenian Democratic Liberal Party’s Lebanese Regional Board, headed by Chairman Tigran Apasyan, were present at the funeral of Aram Sepetjian. Representatives of the Armenian General Benevolent Union and the Armenian Youth Association were also present. Mourning relatives and friends who respected his memory were also present.
Speaking on behalf of the AGBU and AYA’s official organ “Khosnak,” Mr. Hambik Martirosyan highlighted the deceased’s notable merits as a unionist and editor-in-chief of the “Khosnak” official organ.
One of the deceased’s close associates, Paruyr Aghbashyan, also spoke. In his remarks, he presented Aram Sepetjian as a faithful intellectual of Ramgavar Azadagan ideology. Being a junior colleague of Aram Sepetjian’s ideological school, Aghbashyan appreciated the deceased’s adherence to the Party’s ideology, even during these difficult days he had gone through. Sepetjian had great hope that the centennial of the Armenian Democratic Liberal Party would be celebrated in an atmosphere of unity, solidarity, and constructiveness.
Incense and prayers to the bright memory of the modest Armenian intellectual, cultural figure, prose writer, and torchbearer of Ramgavar Azadagan ideology, Aram Sepetjian. May his memory be blessed among the righteous.
