By my decree, Masis Mayilyan has been appointed Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Artsakh. Artsakh President Arayik Harutyunyan announced this a short while ago during a live broadcast on his Facebook page.
“I have thought about this for a long time. I made an offer of cooperation, he accepted it, and we were simply considering different formats of cooperation, taking into account the number of votes Mayilyan received in the presidential elections,” he said, adding that other options had been discussed.
“I ask that this not be considered a political deal. We have not made a political deal, but have agreed to take on the responsibility together,” he added.
