Armen Sarkissian, President of the Republic of Armenia, today visited the Yerablur military pantheon.

The President was accompanied by former conscripts of the Armenian army — staff members of the Office of the President of the Republic, Gor Darmanyan and Liparit Melkonyan, as well as Arkadi Andreasyan, an employee of the Ministry of Emergency Situations. During their service in the armed forces, they drew attention with their high combat readiness and dedication, and were wounded during military operations. They were hired within the framework of the “Defender of the Homeland” initiative, the purpose of which is to assist servicemen who have become disabled during military service, providing them with employment.

President Sarkissian and the accompanying defenders of the homeland laid flowers on the graves of the heroes who sacrificed their lives during the April military operations of 2016 and paid tribute to their memory.
