“In August 2019, compared to August of the previous year, we recorded a 7.6 percent economic activity indicator, which means Armenia continues to remain in a period of high economic growth,” Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan wrote on his Facebook page.
“Based on August results, the annual indicators for 2019 are as follows: economic activity indicator — 7 percent, industrial growth — 9.5 percent, construction growth — 4.4 percent, trade turnover growth — 9 percent, services growth — 15.5 percent, average monthly wage growth — 5.7 percent, export growth — 4.6 percent,” the Prime Minister detailed, adding that “in August we not only had no inflation, but a certain deflation was recorded.” “Overall, Armenia continues to remain in a period of low inflation indicators,” Pashinyan emphasized.
“These are quite good indicators, and we should all be encouraged to work better,” the Prime Minister concluded.
