Announcement
In this transitional phase of geopolitical influences and the formation of new economic and competitive currents, Armenia, in parallel, is entering a new stage of post-revolutionary reforms and a new civil, political and judicial order, invoking the development of the recent history of the Republic of Armenia.
The Armenian Democratic Liberal Party believes that today the overarching goal of Armenian society is the creation and consolidation of a progressive Armenian state, the new embodiment of independent statehood and the homeland, which unreservedly concerns the entire Armenian nation, and for which every Armenian consciously feels proud and committed to the responsibility of his homeland stewardship. Homeland stewardship, which is defined by a strong Armenia founded on equal civil rights, planned with an innovative approach, guided by efficiency and the power of thought, aspiring to new pan-Armenian standards, and the homeland of the entire Armenian people.
Despite this situation, it is evident that in the homeland a serious social conflict revolving around polarized opinion, opposition and personal loyalties has taken hold, a wide stage of distrust and skepticism, and sensational phenomena and misleading statements incited by biased media.
Notwithstanding this temporary phenomenon of instability, the ADL is convinced that the natural author and master of this situation is the very “velvet” revolutionary citizen, who has given rise to bold democracy, but nevertheless is aware of the transience of these transitional phenomena, ultimately balancing the scales of democracy through collective will, with the fervent desire to create the long-awaited, inspiring New Armenia, as enshrined in the slogan of its revolution.
The ADL, with its worldwide structures, Central Board and membership, is informed and connected to these developments in the homeland.
Accordingly, accepting the ever-changing domestic political situation, emphasizing the urgency of pursuing national goals, pointing out the nuances of external and internal circumstances, the ADL calls upon the Armenian people, in the spirit of tolerance demonstrated during the days of the revolution and with nationwide determination, to reaffirm its vote of confidence in Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and the government he leads, to continue the reform agenda for the benefit of the Armenian people, the realization of the repatriation of the diaspora, the favorable resolution of the Artsakh issue, and the state and economic development of the New Armenia.
