Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar said in an interview with Milliyet that Armenia must “grasp the hand of peace” extended by Turkey and Azerbaijan.
At the same time, he stressed that Turkey will continue its “brotherly” relations with Azerbaijan, working with it “as one fist and one heart.”
He repeated the “Zangezur corridor” thesis, speaking of its importance for the region “from an economic, social and security standpoint.”
“It is important to grasp the hand of peace extended by our president… We tell Armenia to take advantage of this opportunity,” the Turkish defense minister said, adding an expression about “the futility of illusions under the influence of other forces.”
