Yesterday, 29,285 cases of coronavirus infection were registered in Armenia. Per million people, 9,882 cases have been registered in the country. By this indicator, Armenia ranks 9th in the world, ahead of countries such as the United States, Italy, Spain and others.
The top three places in the world in the number of infection cases per million people are Qatar, San Marino and Bahrain; in these countries, 35,952, 20,571 and 17,525 cases respectively have been registered per million people.
According to https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/, the United States, which has the highest absolute number of infected (3,041,129), ranks 13th in the world in the number of infection cases per million people (9,187).
Brazil has registered 1,626,071 cases of infection, which constitutes 7,649 cases per million people. By the first indicator, Brazil ranks 2nd in the world; by the second indicator, 16th.
As for deaths from coronavirus infection, 503 deaths have been registered in Armenia; this is 170 deaths per million people. By this indicator, Armenia currently ranks 25th in the world.
