As of 11:00 on 24 March, 1,164 new cases of the coronavirus disease have been confirmed in Armenia, with 313 citizens recovered and 14 deaths. The largest number in recent days was recorded on 19 March with 1,071 cases.
5,775 tests were conducted in one day. The total number of tests has thus reached 817,406.
This was stated on the website of the National Centre for Disease Control and Prevention of the RA Ministry of Health.
A total of 186,184 cases of the coronavirus disease have been confirmed, of which 169,485 have recovered and 3,398 have died. At this moment, 12,436 patients are actually receiving treatment for the coronavirus disease.
The previous day, 3 deaths were recorded in which patients had the coronavirus infection, but death resulted from another illness. The total number of such cases is 865.
According to the RA government’s decision of 11 January, the quarantine set from 11 September 2020 to 11 January 2021 to reduce the risk of the spread of the coronavirus disease has been extended until 11 July.
