The RA Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement regarding Azerbaijan’s violation of the humanitarian ceasefire agreed upon on 17 October.

“The Defense Army of the Republic of Artsakh has reported that the armed forces of Azerbaijan have once again grossly violated the new humanitarian ceasefire, and on 18 October at 07:20, after intense artillery fire, launched an attack in the southern direction with the aim of seizing advantageous positions.

Azerbaijan is violating for the second time the agreement on the cessation of fire reached through the personal intervention of the head of a country co-chairing the OSCE Minsk Group, thereby demonstrating to the international community its treacherous nature, with which we have been dealing for decades.

Armenia will continue to take all necessary measures to impose peace on Azerbaijan and to establish a ceasefire regime, along with the introduction of clear and effective mechanisms for the maintenance and verification of that regime on the ground”
