The Armenian humanitarian group in Syria has met with representatives of the UN Mine Action Centre in Syria. This was reported by the “Humanitarian Demining and Expertise Centre” SNCO.
“The Armenian specialists presented the work carried out by them. The deminers have cleared 112,000 square meters of territory, of which 90,000 square meters belongs to 2 cleared minefields. The certificates and maps have been officially handed over to the provincial authorities of Aleppo. The deminers are now carrying out work in the 3rd minefield. In addition, Armenian doctors are providing medical services in 5 hospitals. The Armenian specialists plan to conduct explosive ordnance risk awareness seminars and first aid courses for the population of Aleppo,” the statement said.
