Armenia’s Defense Minister Arshak Karapetyan, who is in Moscow on a working visit, participated in the regular meeting of the Council of Defense Ministers of the member states of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).
During the meeting, more than 20 agenda items were discussed, including the development of multilateral cooperation in the defense sector, the conduct of the joint computer-assisted command-staff exercise “Regional Security-2022” of the Joint Air Defense System, the fight against epidemics by the NBC (Radiation, Chemical and Biological Defense) troops, humanitarian demining by joint engineering units, joint training of military personnel for the armed forces, the results of the international army games held this year, and other issues.
At the end of the meeting, all decisions of the Council of Defense Ministers of the CIS member states were signed, including the work program for 2022.
