As part of measures to prevent the spread of the coronavirus in Armenia, the operation of cafes, restaurants, certain construction works and a number of enterprises will be suspended for one week starting 24 March. According to Armenpress, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said this during a live broadcast on his Facebook page.
“We need to introduce certain stricter restrictions and approach the bans more strictly. Starting tomorrow, the operation of all types of restaurants and cafes will be prohibited, with an exception made for delivery services. Certain construction works will stop. The operation of sewing production enterprises and a number of branches of light industry will also stop,” said Pashinyan.
The Prime Minister noted that food production will continue, grocery stores will operate as usual, and the government will publish a list of permitted activities.
Nikol Pashinyan urged citizens to limit movement as much as possible and to leave home only in cases of extreme necessity.
