Leaving Home Allowed Only in Case of Vital Necessity and with ID Document: Quarantine Measures Tightened in Armenia

Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan said today that strict restrictions on the movement of citizens will be applied for at least one week. “Starting today, one must leave home only in case of vital necessity and with an ID document. Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan said today that strict restrictions on the movement of citizens will be applied for at least one week.

“Starting today, one must leave home only in case of vital necessity and with an ID document. Our citizens who go out into the street must have an explanation as to why they went out,” the Prime Minister said.

He informed that the police have established a special form that must be filled out.

Nikol Pashinyan also called on people not to gather in groups of more than 2 in the same place and to maintain a distance of 10 m from each other.

He informed that as of today, at 18:30, 249 cases of the “Corona” virus have been registered in Armenia, the condition of one, a 77-year-old citizen, is extremely critical, and four are in serious condition.

“We must do everything to exclude cases with fatal outcomes,” the Prime Minister said.
