Armenia’s top officials visit Yerablur on the occasion of Armenia’s Independence Day

On the occasion of the 28th anniversary of independence, on 21 September the political elite visited the Yerablur military pantheon to pay tribute to the memory of those who fell for independence. Visiting Yerablur were Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, President Armen Sarkissian, Artsakh President Bako Sahakyan, Karekin II, National Assembly President Ararat Mirzoyan, Defence Minister Davit Tonoyan, Security Council Secretary Armen Grigoryan, Deputy Prime Ministers Mher Grigoryan and Tigran Avinyan, Chief of the General Staff Artak Davtyan, government members and deputies. They laid flowers on the graves of Sparapet Vazgen Sargsyan and Andranik Ozanian, and a wreath at the

On the occasion of the 28th anniversary of independence, on 21 September the political elite visited the Yerablur military pantheon to pay tribute to the memory of those who fell for independence.

Visiting Yerablur were Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, President Armen Sarkissian, Artsakh President Bako Sahakyan, Karekin II, National Assembly President Ararat Mirzoyan, Defence Minister Davit Tonoyan, Security Council Secretary Armen Grigoryan, Deputy Prime Ministers Mher Grigoryan and Tigran Avinyan, Chief of the General Staff Artak Davtyan, government members and deputies.

They laid flowers on the graves of Sparapet Vazgen Sargsyan and Andranik Ozanian, and a wreath at the memorial commemorating the fallen freedom fighters.

It should be noted that this year the main Independence Day events will take place in Gyumri. The Prime Minister is to leave for the United States today.
