Members of the National Assembly of the Republic of Artsakh, led by Artur Tovmasyan, have addressed the leaders of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chair countries — President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, US President Joe Biden, and French President Emmanuel Macron — calling on them to take concrete action towards opening the Lachin corridor or operating the Stepanakert airport.
In a statement issued by the Artsakh National Assembly, it was noted that in the deputies’ message, in particular, it was said:
«Today marks the 25th day that the only road connecting Artsakh to Armenia and the outside world remains closed:
The Artsakh issue was the only conflict on which all the OSCE Minsk Group co-chair countries held nearly the same viewpoint. The people of Artsakh, facing an unprecedented humanitarian disaster, by and large, need not only targeted statements, but also, we believe, there is a necessity to take active and visible steps in that direction. Patients with serious health problems are deprived of necessary medicines and healthcare services, Artsakh is deprived of baby food and supplies of essential goods and first necessity items:
We call on the civilized world, particularly the Minsk Group co-chair countries, to take concrete actions towards opening the corridor or operating the air bridge — the Stepanakert airport — which would allow, to some extent, preventing the alarming humanitarian crisis in Artsakh during the winter period»:
