Artsakh Republic President Arayik Harutyunyan has published a video on his Facebook page, writing alongside it:
“Dear compatriots,
Today I met with the freedom fighters of the volunteer units named after legendary commanders of the First Artsakh War, Vladimir Balayan and Shahen Meghryan.
In this most important phase of Armenian history, when the security of our people and our national interests are endangered, their role is invaluable, as it was in the case of Vladimir Balayan and Shahen Meghryan.
We will have many more opportunities to speak about their feats for the salvation of the homeland, but in the meantime we are obliged to meet, discuss the situation and award them.”
