14 children are in the neonatal and intensive care units of the Artsakh children’s hospital. This is reported in the daily bulletin of the Artsakh Information Headquarters.
According to the bulletin, 9 adult patients are in the intensive care unit, 5 of them in extremely critical condition.
Already 132 children have been born under the blockade.
Due to the suspension of scheduled surgeries in all medical institutions under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Artsakh, approximately 400 citizens have been deprived of the possibility of undergoing surgery.
To date, 28 patients have been transferred from Artsakh to Armenia with the mediation and accompaniment of the International Committee of the Red Cross to receive appropriate treatment.
The bulletin states that 726 business entities (17.7% of the total) have suspended their operations due to the impossibility of working under blockade conditions.
Due to the difficult economic situation created, at least 3,400 people have initially lost their jobs and source of income.
More than 14,000 tons of essential goods were to be delivered to Artsakh had it not been for the blockade, during which only a negligible portion of that was delivered by the International Committee of the Red Cross and the peacekeeping forces of the Russian Federation.
