Security Council Secretary and NSS Director Appointed in Artsakh

Artsakh Republic President Arayik Harutyunyan signed a series of decrees on 16 January. According to the decrees, Major General Ashot Hagopjanyan has been relieved of his post as Director of the Artsakh Republic National Security Service and discharged from service in the national security bodies, in connection with his retirement on a long-service pension. Major General Ararat Melkumyan has been appointed Director of the Artsakh Republic National Security Service, being relieved of his post as Secretary of the Artsakh Republic Security Council. Artsakh Republic President Arayik Harutyunyan signed a series of decrees on 16 January.

According to the decrees,

Major General Ashot Hagopjanyan has been relieved of his post as Director of the Artsakh Republic National Security Service and discharged from service in the national security bodies, in connection with his retirement on a long-service pension.

Major General Ararat Melkumyan has been appointed Director of the Artsakh Republic National Security Service, being relieved of his post as Secretary of the Artsakh Republic Security Council.

Samvel Shahramanyan has been appointed Secretary of the Artsakh Republic Security Council, being relieved of his post as Deputy Secretary of the Security Council.
