Azerbaijan today opened fire on civilians carrying out agricultural work in Artsakh. The information was reported by the police of the Artsakh Ministry of Internal Affairs.
“On March 22, a report was received at the duty station of the Martuni district police department that around 9:30 a.m., residents of the town of Chartar — H. Harutyunyan, A. Ghahramanyan, M. Jivanyan, G. Ghukasyan, K. Davtyan, A. Adamyan and D. Davtyan — while carrying out agricultural work in the vineyards located in the area known as ‘Glazin Dzor’ within the administrative territory of the town of Chartar, came under fire opened by the Azerbaijani armed forces,” the statement said.
From the Azerbaijani combat positions adjacent to the vineyards, irregular fire was opened at the civilians with various types of firearms, as a result of which the agricultural work was halted.
The information was reported to the Russian peacekeeping forces.
