The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia issued an urgent statement noting that today, October 14, Azerbaijani forces targeted combat equipment conducting combat duty in the territory of the Republic of Armenia, in the zone bordering Karvachar, based solely on assumptions that, allegedly, this equipment was ready to strike Azerbaijan’s peaceful settlements.
“It is unnecessary to note that this claim by Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Defense cannot have any justification. In fact, that country’s military-political leadership allows itself to target combat equipment located in the territory of the Republic of Armenia and conducting normal combat duty, based solely on assumptions.
Reaffirming that until this moment no missile, shell, or bullet has been fired from the territory of the Republic of Armenia toward Azerbaijan, we simultaneously declare that henceforth the armed forces of the Republic of Armenia reserve the right to target, by the same logic, any military installation or military movement located in the territory of Azerbaijan.
The entire responsibility for the process of changing the zone and logic of combat operations rests with Azerbaijan’s military-political leadership.
Fortunately, there are no casualties or wounded,” the Defense Ministry statement said.
