The Azerbaijani armed forces have fired on the RA Armed Forces’ Vardenis division, and have also used air force against the positions. This was written on her Facebook page by MOD spokesperson Shushan Stepanyan.
She, in particular, noted: “This action by the adversary was preceded by disinformation from Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Defence, claiming that, allegedly, the armed forces of the Republic of Armenia had shelled Azerbaijan’s Dashkasan region from the Vardenis area. Thus, in effect, the adversary has tried to prepare the ground to justify its subsequent actions.
Expect a harsh response.”
