Thanks to search operations carried out at the sites of military operations, the remains of 1 victim were discovered in the Hadrut area. This was reported by Hunan Tadevosyan, head of the information and public relations department of the State Emergency Service of the Artsakh Ministry of Internal Affairs, in a conversation with Armenpress.
“Initially it was not possible to determine whether the victim was a civilian or a serviceman. A forensic examination has been ordered to establish the identity. In total, the remains of 1,355 fallen servicemen and civilians have been discovered to date. On February 3, search operations were planned in the directions of Varanda (Fizuli) and Jrakan (Jabrayil), but the Azerbaijani side, without explanation, did not permit them,” Tadevosyan noted, adding that search operations for possible surviving servicemen and civilians are also continuing in parallel.
“Every evening, representatives of the State Emergency Service present the results of the work carried out to the parents, discuss and plan what is to be done the next day,” the official detailed.
