Azerbaijan’s policy of crimes against humanity and ethnic cleansing is doomed to failure and will continue to meet the decisive resistance of the people of Artsakh. This was stated in a declaration issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia.
The RA MFA recalled that over the past three days, the peaceful settlements of Nagorno-Karabakh have continued to be subjected to various types of Azerbaijani missile and artillery attacks, strikes by combat drones, as well as bombings by military aviation.
From the second half of 28 October up to the present moment, Stepanakert, Shushi and Martakert have been continuously targeted. Stepanakert and Martakert are subjected to the most powerful strikes, as a result of which enormous damage is inflicted on the peaceful population and civilian infrastructure is destroyed.
“In the conditions of the pandemic, strikes are being carried out against hospitals and other healthcare infrastructure. There are numerous dead and wounded.
These war crimes of the Azerbaijani regime against the peaceful population are accompanied by the direct involvement of Turkey and international terrorists and pursue the goal of destroying the Armenian people in Nagorno-Karabakh,” the RA MFA noted.
Contrary to the calls of the international community and the efforts of the co-chair countries of the OSCE Minsk Group, Azerbaijan persistently refuses to implement the ceasefire agreements and to introduce credible mechanisms for maintaining the ceasefire in the conflict zone.
“Seeking to carry out its genocidal intention and avoid responsibility for it, Azerbaijan has simultaneously launched a campaign based on falsehoods and slanders to mislead the international public.
