The earthquake that took place in the Republic of Syria on 6 February caused human losses and destruction, from which the local Armenian community also suffered considerably. The gaze of our compatriots living in various parts of the world is now directed toward the Armenian community of Syria, which finds itself in a difficult situation as a result of the earthquake. The Artsakh Information Headquarters issued a statement on this matter.
Despite the severe conditions of the blockade, the Government of Artsakh, in cooperation with the Artsakh branch of the Armenian Relief Society, has decided to join the pan-Armenian relief efforts by organizing a fundraiser. Expressing solidarity with our sisters and brothers living in Syria, we call on the citizens living in Artsakh to actively participate in the fundraiser and extend a helping hand to our compatriots affected by the natural disaster.
Only through our strong nationwide unity and sincere efforts to support one another is it possible to overcome both the calamities of nature and man-made challenges.
