By Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s decision, another Armenian delegation will depart for Baku on December 4-7. This is the second group of Armenians to travel to Azerbaijan in the last 20 days.
During those days, the 14th session of the Intergovernmental Commission of the Europe-Caucasus-Asia International Transport Corridor (TRACECA) will take place in the Azerbaijani capital, as well as a meeting dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the structure.
The Armenian delegation includes Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of the Republic of Armenia Armen Simonyan, Head of the Department of Road Transport Policy of the same ministry Arman Karapetyan, and Advisor to the Department of Multilateral Policy and Development Cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Artem Aznauryan.
Let us recall that on November 17-21, a mutual visit of groups of Armenian and Azerbaijani journalists took place. Representatives of Armenian and Artsakh media visited Azerbaijan, while Azerbaijani media representatives visited Armenia and Artsakh.
Earlier, on September 22, 2017, then-Member of Parliament Armen Ashotyan and current Member of Parliament Mane Tandilyan had visited Azerbaijan. In Baku, they participated in the “Eurones” parliamentary assembly.
Azerbaijan pursues a discriminatory policy against Armenians, hindering their entry into Azerbaijan. Even Armenians who are citizens of other countries face obstacles when visiting Azerbaijan.
