Passenger flow to Armenia is to increase by nearly 300,000 passengers. This was stated on December 3 during a session of the National Assembly at the discussion of the draft law on making amendments to the law “On State Duty,” by the head of Armenia’s Civil Aviation Committee, Tatevik Revazyan, in response to deputies’ questions.
According to her, passenger flow at Armenia’s two airports — “Zvartnots” and “Shirak” — amounts to 2.9 million people annually.
“This is quite an impressive figure. According to our estimates, in three years the development of tourism alone will create thousands of jobs, millions of dollars will be paid into the state budget, and the investment environment will improve,” the head of the Civil Aviation Committee promised.
