Caucasus Heritage Watch warns of possible danger to Armenian Vankasar Church in Artsakh

The Caucasus Heritage Watch organization has warned of possible danger to the 7th-century Armenian Vankasar Church, located on the highest of the peaks of the rock called Vankasar in the Martakert region of Artsakh. The organization announced this on its Twitter page. It was noted that satellite images show heavy machinery near the church and a structure placed at the edge of the road in the vicinity of the church. The organization has appealed to the Azerbaijani authorities, demanding an explanation as to what purpose the machinery and the structure are located near the church.
