This year as well, the Lebanese Armenian community will mark the day of the martyrs of the Armenian Genocide and of claiming rights with unwavering faith.
As every year, this year too, the events will be organized by the highest bodies of the three traditional parties operating in Lebanon — the SDHP, the ADL and the ARF.
It should also be noted that, due to the pandemic, the community will again hold the events this year through remote connection.
And so, on Saturday, 24 April 2021, in the compound of the Catholicosate of Antelias, following the church service dedicated to the one and a half million canonized martyrs of the Armenian Genocide, a special event will take place, to be attended by Aram I, Catholicos of the Great House of Cilicia, as well as representatives of the bodies of the three traditional parties of the Lebanese Armenian community and representatives of the community’s national, educational, charitable and various organizations.
The public will be able to follow the ceremony through the various pages and platforms of the Lebanese Armenian community’s social media.
It is also anticipated that during the event, representatives of the parties and the leading fathers of the denominational bodies will deliver speeches.
