Turkey considers Armenia’s actions in the Syunik Province of the Republic of Armenia to be a terrorist attack and promises not to leave Azerbaijan alone in the situation that has arisen. This was stated by Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu.
The Turkish foreign minister called for joint steps to be taken to ensure peace and stability in the region: “If Armenia is ready, then Turkey is also ready. Provocations will be failures for Yerevan.”
According to Cavusoglu, Ankara is in favor of opening a new page of long-term stability and cooperation in the region.
“Yerevan must recognize once and for all that these are Azerbaijani territories that have been illegally seized by Armenia,” the minister said.
