On 24 May, at approximately 17:40, according to preliminary data, conscript soldier Private Mkrtich Hovhannisyan (born 2002, 2021/1 draft, Shirak Territorial Service of the RA Ministry of Defence) of military unit N sustained a fatal gunshot wound as a result of a shot fired in violation of weapons handling rules. This was reported by the Ministry of Defence.
An investigation is underway.
