On 24 May, the Acting Minister of Defense of the Republic of Armenia, Vagarshak Harutyunyan, held a telephone conversation with the Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, Stanislav Zas.
As reported by the RA Ministry of Defense, Vagarshak Harutyunyan presented the situation created on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border as a result of the Azerbaijani provocation and the developments of recent days.
The head of the RA defense department once again emphasized that encroachments on the sovereign territories of the Republic of Armenia are absolutely inadmissible and noted that he also attaches importance to the active role of the CSTO in resolving the issue.
Stanislav Zas assured that the CSTO is closely following the developments around the situation and that the organization is taking the necessary steps to resolve the issue peacefully.
