Construction of New Settlement for Displaced Population Launched in Artsakh

Construction work on a new settlement has been launched in the area between the villages of Astghashen and Patara in the Askeran region of Artsakh. This was reported by Marta Danielyan, press secretary of the Artsakh Ministry of Urban Development, in an interview with Armenpress. “The new settlement, intended for our citizens displaced from the villages of Jraghatsner, Moshkhmhat, Madatashen and Sghnakh in Askeran, will have a total area of more than 644,000 square metres. Construction work on a new settlement has been launched in the area between the villages of Astghashen and Patara in the Askeran region of Artsakh. This was reported by Marta Danielyan, press secretary of the Artsakh Ministry of Urban Development, in an interview with Armenpress.

“The new settlement, intended for our citizens displaced from the villages of Jraghatsner, Moshkhmhat, Madatashen and Sghnakh in Askeran, will have a total area of more than 644,000 square metres. Of the 116 planned individual houses, the first will be ready within the coming few months; construction of the settlement will be fully completed by December 2022. The houses, whose design has been modelled on Aghavno in Kashatagh, will have 2 to 4 rooms. Each house will be allocated 1,500 square metres of adjoining land. A market will also be built near the main road,” Danielyan detailed.
