Armenia’s economic activity indicator grew by 4.9% in January-August 2021 compared to the same period in 2020. According to Armenpress, this was confirmed by data published by the RA Statistical Committee.
The volume of industrial output in January-August grew by 1% compared to the same period in 2020, and the volume of construction grew by 7.3%.
In trade turnover, growth in January-August amounted to 7.1%, while the volume of services provided (excluding trade) grew by 5.3%.
Armenia’s consumer price index in January-August 2021 grew by 6.4%, the industrial output price index by 9.8%, while the volume of energy production decreased by 1.5%.
In foreign trade volumes, a 12.7% growth was recorded in January-August this year compared to the same period last year.
Exports from Armenia grew by 21.8%, imports by 7.7%. The dram’s exchange rate against the US dollar in January-August 2021 was 514.38.
