Military attachés of EU and NATO member states accredited in Armenia visited an air unit of the RA Ministry of Defense. The commander, Colonel of Aviation Samvel Tavadyan, familiarized the foreign guests with the unit’s daily activities and answered their questions. The military attachés then toured the unit’s territory and familiarized themselves with the air armaments and military equipment.
The RA Ministry of Defense reports that the Su-30SM (Су-30СМ) aircraft were of greater interest to them. According to the communiqué, the military attachés noted that thanks to the visit they were once again convinced that all 4 Su-30 aircraft are in their place, and that the information circulating in the Azerbaijani and Turkish press that they are participating in the military operations underway in Ukraine does not correspond to reality.
Let us recall that recently the Azerbaijani television company “Haber Global,” broadcast in Turkey, citing unknown sources in Turkish intelligence, reported that Armenia had transferred four Su-30 aircraft to Russia for use during combat operations against Ukraine, which was denied by both the RA Ministry of Defense and the Prime Minister of Armenia.
