The National Security Service announces that it has uncovered and neutralized yet another agent network created by foreign special services in Armenia and Artsakh. According to the report, it involved servicemen from various units of the armed forces, as well as former soldiers and employees of Artsakh state bodies.
A criminal case has been opened in connection with the incident at the NSS, according to which employees of foreign special services posted fake advertisements on social media sites regarding high-paying jobs, offering as a condition the completion of a job seeker’s personal and biographical data, then proposed cooperating with them and providing information, including regarding structures of strategic importance in Artsakh and Armenia, military equipment, military units, armaments, and combat positions.
According to the NSS, in some cases, recruited individuals met with foreign special services in third countries and received code names, and handed over documents containing state, military, and service secrets.
It is reported that some individuals included in this agent network had prior knowledge of the expected war against Artsakh and its specific date.
