On 26 August, reconnaissance carried out by means of drones did not detect new sources of fire or smouldering in the section known as “Mekhrakar” on the road leading to the Khosrov Forest State Reserve in Ararat Province.
The Department of Information and Public Relations of the RA Ministry of Emergency Situations reported that the fire that had broken out near the Khosrov Forest Reserve has been extinguished. It is also noted that approximately 50,000 units of vegetation-covered area have been burned.
The source states that reconnaissance carried out by means of drones has made it clear that no new sources of fire have appeared in the area of the Khosrov Forest Reserve.
