Convoy of Armenian Peaches Leaves Lars, Heads to Russia

The inspection of Armenian trucks loaded with peaches at the Upper Lars checkpoint has been completed. This was announced on her Facebook page by Anna Ohanyan, press secretary of the Minister of Economy of the Republic of Armenia. “We inform that as of the night of 26.08, the inspection of Armenian vehicles loaded with peaches at the Upper Lars checkpoint has been completed, and the trucks have left the customs point,” Ohanyan wrote. The inspection of Armenian trucks loaded with peaches at the Upper Lars checkpoint has been completed.

This was announced on her Facebook page by Anna Ohanyan, press secretary of the Minister of Economy of the Republic of Armenia.

“We inform that as of the night of 26.08, the inspection of Armenian vehicles loaded with peaches at the Upper Lars checkpoint has been completed, and the trucks have left the customs point,” Ohanyan wrote.

On 23 August, the company “Spayka” had issued a statement expressing concern over the fact that its trucks loaded with peaches were stopped at the Upper Lars checkpoint and that there was a risk the peaches could spoil within a few days. Anna Ohanyan, press secretary of the Minister of Economy, had stated that they were in contact with their counterparts at the Upper Lars checkpoint and were doing their utmost to ensure that the inspections proceeded as quickly as possible and under conditions and temperature regimes that would not damage the produce.
