On 28 June, at 17:55, the Tavush regional crisis management centre received an alarm that grass cover was burning in the village of Azatamut.
Two fire-fighting units from the regional rescue department of the Emergency Situations Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, as well as one fire-fighting unit each from the fire-fighting groups of the Tavush and Noyemberyan special structures protection fire-fighting units of the collective centre of civil defence forces of the Civil Defence Department, were dispatched to the scene.
According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, it was established that the fire had broken out on the neutral zone of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border and in the pastures of the village of Sevkar.
