Since the start of the pandemic in Armenia, the first death of a child from the coronavirus has been recorded. The 16-year-old had severe underlying conditions, specifically a post-operative state of two years’ standing following partial removal of a malignant tumor of the brain (medulla oblongata), in a vegetative state (not speaking, not walking, not sitting, not communicating), to which COVID-19 was added, with its consequences. The loss is lamentable.
The doctors took all possible and necessary measures, but it was not possible to save the child’s life.
