US Senator Ed Markey has again addressed the situation created in Karabakh and the escalation of the conflict:
“If Azerbaijan continues its attempts to use illegal military force to resolve the conflict, the international community will have no choice but to recognize the independence of the Republic of Artsakh,” he stated.
On his Twitter page, Markey addressed US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, urging him to make efforts to achieve an immediate ceasefire between Armenia and Azerbaijan and to reach a settlement of the issue through negotiations:
“As Azerbaijan continues its attempts to resolve the conflict through illegal military force, the international community has no choice but to move toward recognition of the Republic of Artsakh’s independence in the absence of constructive negotiations,” the senator said.
