For the record
I have recently become aware of a statement published by the so-called “Supreme Council” of the ADL, which addresses the situation prevailing in Armenia, in the face of the “Corona” virus pandemic and the political crisis that has arisen alongside it.
Regardless of the content of the statement, I wish to inform all competent circles that this statement constitutes a gross legal violation against my person.
The statement has been circulated on letterhead prepared by the aforementioned group, bearing an official appearance, on which are listed the names of the persons who make up that same group, and, to my astonishment, the list also includes my name, without my own knowledge and consent.
This reckless impertinence is an intolerable and most crude violation, first against my person, and then against the legitimacy of my party affiliation.
Throughout my entire membership of the Armenian Democratic Liberal Party, I have not been aware of the existence of a body by the name of “Supreme Council”; however, through the repeated statements issued by the ADL Central Board, I have recently been informed of the illegal and self-styled “aspirations” of a fictitious and false “body”. I therefore absolutely do not permit my name to be tarnished by falsification, by linking it to that ugly illegality.
I recognise one supreme governing body of the ADL — the ADL Central Board, which currently operates under the chairmanship of Mike Kharapyan, and I have no connection, nor do I wish to have any, with any illegitimate body.
I therefore demand that an immediate end be put to this falsification, also demanding that my name be promptly removed from the list of that “composition”.
