Former Minister Sergo Karapetyan Dies of Coronavirus

Sergo Karapetyan, who served as Minister of Agriculture from 2010 to 2016, has died of the coronavirus. He was in the intensive care unit of the Nairi Medical Center. Sergo Karapetyan was born on 6 August 1948 in the city of Artashat (Ararat Province). He graduated from the Armenian Agricultural Institute. From 1965 to 1972 he worked at the Artashat Canning Factory, holding various positions; from 1972 to 1986 he was the chief architect of the Artashat Canning Sovkhoz Factory. Sergo Karapetyan was born on 6 August 1948 in the city of Artashat (Ararat Province). He graduated from the Armenian Agricultural Institute. From 1965 to 1972 he worked at the Artashat Canning Factory, holding various positions; from 1972 to 1986 he was the chief architect of the Artashat Canning Sovkhoz Factory. In 1986-1987 he worked as director of the Azat forage economy. From 1987 to 1995 he was the general director of the Artashat Canning Sovkhoz Factory, and then until 2011, the chairman and general director of the Artashat Canning Factory company. From 2010 to 2016 he held the post of Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Armenia.
