From today, patrol police will be carrying out service on the streets of Yerevan. Each shift will have 41 vehicles.
The patrol service will replace the traffic police and the road police. In the initial period, patrol police will carry out service only in Yerevan. In a few weeks, the police academy will begin accepting patrol police officers for the Lori and Shirak provinces.
These two provinces will have patrol police by next spring. The third phase will involve recruitment for the other provinces. The transition to the patrol service across the entire republic is planned for the end of 2022.
