Armenia’s Human Rights Defender Arman Tatoyan has presented further evidence regarding the state policy of Armenophobia in Azerbaijan and the deep roots of ethnic-based hostility toward Armenians. He wrote on his Facebook page.
“Further evidence regarding the state policy of Armenophobia in Azerbaijan and the deep roots of ethnic-based hostility toward Armenians:
The official statements of the President of Azerbaijan about Armenia and Armenians —
1) we will continue to drive out those liars (referring to Armenians). They see that we are teaching them a lesson they will never forget.
2) they have neither conscience nor morality.
3) they do not even have a brain.
4) for 30 years it (referring to Artsakh and in particular Fizuli [Varanda]) was in the hands of wild monsters, in the hands of wild beasts, in the hands of jackals.
5) the remains of Fizuli are a display of Armenian fascism and testify to Armenian fascism:
6) it was as if a wild tribe had taken over the city.
7) we must wage a stronger struggle against Armenia and increase the weight of the struggle. We have isolated it from all international and regional programs.
These same words are also used by Azerbaijani servicemen in videos of the killing, torture and inhuman treatment of Armenian servicemen and civilians.
The details are reflected in the 2020 joint extraordinary report of the Human Rights Defenders of Armenia and Artsakh, which concerns organized hate speech and hostility toward ethnic Armenians in Azerbaijan as causes of torture and inhuman treatment by Azerbaijani armed forces on the basis of ethnic affiliation during the war.”
