Georgia’s Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia will arrive in Armenia on an official visit on 15 October, according to Georgian MP Enzel Mkoyan, as reported by Sputnik-Georgia.
This will be Gakharia’s first visit to Armenia as Prime Minister. He assumed the post of head of Georgia’s government on 8 September.
“Mr. Gakharia will arrive in Armenia on a one-day official visit on 15 October. The delegation will most likely include the ministers of foreign affairs, internal affairs and economy, as well as the deputy speaker of parliament,” Sputnik-Armenia quoted Mkoyan as saying.
Gakharia began his regional visits with Azerbaijan, where he travelled on 9 October. Georgia’s Prime Minister will travel from Yerevan to Turkey.
Gakharia has visited Yerevan twice in total, as Georgia’s economy minister in June 2017 and as interior minister in February 2018.
Georgia and Armenia established diplomatic relations on 17 July 1992.
