NVIDIA, one of the global leaders in high technology, is establishing a research center in Armenia. This was announced by Hagop Arshakyan, Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly.
In 2019, the delegation headed by Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan visited NVIDIA’s headquarters in Silicon Valley, where during a meeting with the company’s founder and CEO Jensen Huang, possible cooperation with NVIDIA was discussed.
“Today I am happy to inform that NVIDIA is coming to Armenia. One of the world’s leading technology giants, which has an annual turnover of 27 billion dollars and more than 20,000 employees worldwide, is opening the doors of its new office in Yerevan. The Armenian branch will be led by Rev Lebaredyan, the company’s vice president for Omniverse and simulation technologies. In 1999, NVIDIA’s invention of the GPU spurred the growth of the computer gaming market and redefined modern computer graphics. The company’s work in accelerated computing and artificial intelligence is transforming transportation, healthcare and manufacturing, and driving the development of numerous other sectors. NVIDIA, welcome to Armenia,” Hagop Arshakyan wrote on his Facebook page.
