The National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia, by secret ballot, has elected Hagop Arshakyan, the candidate of the Civil Contract party, to the post of Deputy Speaker of Parliament.
After the vote, the chairman of the NA counting commission, Narek Babayan, announced that 71 deputies participated in the vote, all of whom voted in favor of Hagop Arshakyan’s candidacy.
The opposition Armenia faction has nominated a candidate for the post of third deputy speaker of the NA. The candidate is Ishkhan Saghatelyan.
