At the National Assembly session, Civil Contract faction deputy Khachatur Sukiasyan addressed Armenia faction deputy Armen Gevorgyan: “Mr. Gevorgyan, have you ever done any work in your life? He has done no work, and today he owns some 100 million dollars. Not one of you asks where he got it. He alone has 57 property rights in the center. Who gave him that right? We are four brothers, and with my parents we did not sleep for decades, we worked, and we could not create that. Is he a smarter man than me, a stronger guy than me? How does that happen?”
Sukiasyan added: “How did that happen, at whose expense — at the expense of weapons, at the expense of our soldiers, at the expense of education, at the expense of healthcare. And we had no system. There was large-scale corruption; one man decided who would do what. Now you have come, what are you defending? Now I have come to Civil Contract — what have I seen in this one month: organized, literate, balanced people living on salaries, different people knowing different languages.” He called: “Let us all work effectively, let us respect one another.”
