The Russian peacekeeping contingent continues to carry out the tasks set before it in Nagorno-Karabakh. The Russian Ministry of Defence issued a statement to this effect.
It is noted that Russian peacekeepers are conducting round-the-clock monitoring of the situation and the maintenance of the ceasefire at 30 observation posts. “The command of the contingent continues negotiations with the Armenian and Azerbaijani sides on the issue of restoring the movement of vehicles along the Stepanakert-Goris road (Lachin corridor – Ed.),” the statement said.
According to the statement, patrols were carried out in the Martakert, Martuni and Shushi districts and in the Lachin corridor. Two convoys of Russian peacekeeping forces carrying humanitarian cargo were escorted along the Goris-Stepanakert route. In Stepanakert, a humanitarian operation took place, during which food packages were provided to large families, families with disabled children and veterans of the Great Patriotic War.
