The Artsakh State Minister has addressed an appeal to the youth, students and civil society organisations.
“Dear young people, students, representatives of civil society organisations,
For about 3 months now, Azerbaijan has blocked the only road connecting Armenia to Artsakh. We find ourselves under blockade and are living in extraordinary conditions and under an extraordinary regime. The state is taking all possible measures to mitigate the consequences of the blockade and to satisfy the minimum needs of society. During this time, a variety of work is being carried out to which the public can also lend its support.
I consider it unacceptable that, under blockade conditions, humanitarian aid is being brought to Artsakh, and that the state is forced to spend financial resources to unload, load, package and deliver it to the beneficiaries.
Of course, the state bears the positive obligation of ensuring the rights of citizens, but the Republic of Artsakh is our great family, and just as in our families, so too in the state, resources are not unlimited, and thrift and the pooling of efforts are today a dire necessity.
In the coming days I plan to hold a meeting with the civil society organisations operating in Artsakh, but until then I am appealing to everyone — to the youth, to the students.
I ask and call for the formation of volunteer groups in the shortest possible time and for you to bring your contribution and support to the implementation of the programmes being carried out by the state.
By doing so, you will not only ensure a beneficial outcome for the public, but will also contribute to our inner awakening and consolidation, to the pooling and unification of our forces and capabilities.
We await your responses.
